A Gift of Life, The Heart and Lung Transplant Support Group, Inc. provides temporary financial assistance to patients in the Heart and lung transplant program at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

A Gift of Life also engages in educational and informational activities on behalf of the organization to raise awareness of the importance of organ donations.

Each day, approximately 79 people receive organ transplants; however 21 will die because of the shortage of donated organs. Organ donation and transportation provide a second chance at life for thousands of people each year...
